Medical Tests Attended. Results Late Next Week

I went to a Women's Imaging Clinic for tests today.

Uterine UltraSound:  External belly, fine.  Nice being able to view the screen, albeit at an odd angle.
Internal camera/wand:  not supposed to hurt, only pressure, tell us if it hurts...PAIN! and then blood.  I was upset by this, but the technician was calm, and unfazed.  She unbent enough to say that while she was NOT a reader or physician, images and event matched closely with uterine cysts, which are like balloons that fill up with blood, and can break if rubbed or pressed against.  The bleeding stopped quite quickly, which reinforces that notion.

Mammogram:  digital, and she let me look at the pictures.  She said that while she was not a reader, she was a screener that flagged images if anything looked suspicious for immediate attention, and that my pictures looked perfect, with no reason for anyone to worry about anything.

The images will be read on Tuesday, because of Martin Luther King Day on Monday.  My doctor's office will be informed of results on Wednesday, which means that I should have results Thursday or Friday.

As long as there is something I can *DO* about it, I can take just about anything. (ABBAs "Super Trooper" plays.)

Label: Diagnosis, with "nothing we can do, sorry," would really bite.

Well, nothing they can do doesn't mean there aren't ways you can cope (though I do understand your desire for an answer/solution). Take each step as it comes. *hugs*

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to assume the "worst" (whatever that would mean to you)or even trivialize your worries, far from it. Just, from what I've seen you are an incredibly strong capable person. Then again, "would really bite" is a good response to many situations! :)

Cancer would be the worst, because even straightforward treatment is just plain exhausting. Plus, that risk of death thing if you don't treat, y'know?
