Medical Test Results

 The short answer:  I'm okay.

My pap smear came back normal.
My mammogram came back normal.

My ultrasounds showed that I have ovarian cysts, and uterine cysts.  They are similar to the ones that I've had before.  Since they are not causing me pain, only blood at odd times, this is considered a nuisance rather than a medical crisis.  Periomenopausal symptoms.  (In other words, welcome to getting older.)

If I experience pain, or my bleeding gets worse, I am to call my doctor again to discuss treatment options.  We will keep monitoring this yearly.

I'm glad things are ok. Welcome to Menopause. It's nice to know in advance, no you aren't going to be going crazy.

Thanks. And I have a tangible action plan for reducing the annoyance, otherwise known as: losing weight. Dang it. It all seems to come down to that, again.

My liver, being occupied in cleansing out my diabetic meds, and changing my fats to usable sugars, is not able to clear out estrogen as much.

So, with extra estrogen, I grow cysts. If I lose weight, my diabetes goes away. If my diabetes goes away, my liver works better. As my liver works better, extra hormones to make cysts isn't there to grow them.

Must get more dedicated. I'm not sure if I can take any more clue by fours or hints before Mamma Nature goes for the big guns like a heart attack or stroke or something.

Good luck on the weight loss, and YAY!! for the good results on the mammogram and pap smear.

I hate those clue-by-fours.

Oh loosing weight, I don't remember you as over weight. But I guess you and doctors know better than me. That's quiet a battle. I had significant help with mine. Oh I've made some changes to my eating and stuff, but I had help from anti migraine pills, and the final push was the stress from Vickys hospital stay in the fall. The last one is really odd because for me stress usually packs it on.

Try not to beat your self up too much, one of the perimenopausal things is weight gain. It's hard to loose weight as you get older. I do understand the imperative though, health wise speaking.
