I am reminded of walking down the road with cadhla in Maryland, around Conterpoint when she casually remarked "the berries by the side of the road here taste like burning!" and I turned, appalled and said "Those are poisonous! How many did you eat?"

Apparently in CA all red berries are safe, and here they're really not. Thankfully no stomach pumping was required.
