A scroll of many colors is on its way!

Thank you  [profile] sar_anonfor this exciting link! http://www.elfquest.com/edits/WendyWords_07_09_08.html

I'm doing the happy elf dance!  Two years...I wonder if I can diet down enough to fit my Winnowill dress again for the premier...

I'm joining you in the happy elf dance!

And the director is "Rawson Thurber (yes, the great great grandson of the James Thurber)"! I love Wendy more than ever for emphasizing "the James Thurber." I adore Thurber with much adoration. It breaks my heart that he's not universally recognized as one of the great writers.

Have you been to the Thurber Museum in Columbus? [But I digress.]

As an English teacher, I also adore Thurber. It is really neat that when I teach some of his fun short stories about his childhood, the places are areas they know because they took place in Columbus.

I did not realize there *was* a Thurber Museum in Columbus. Field trip! (Happy dance.)

Then I have justified my existence by telling you about it. And I am sad that you didn't know about it before, because it hosts writers workshops and all sorts of other wonderful things.

It's in his childhood home: Thurber House (http://www.thurberhouse.org/), 77 Jefferson Avenue, just north of Broad Street. When you go, you must write a post about it!

Wow! Well, wasn't expecting an Elfquest movie -- but it's certainly worth waiting for (one hopes!).
