Life Should be a Musical - Why Aren't You Singing?
My darling daughter Sparkle has been viewing a large diet of Disney Princess movies, with accompanying songs.
She has been trying to sing the narrative to her surroundings, in insta-filk style. This effort has highly varied results. She gets darn annoyed that her lyrics don't rhyme, and that her melodies go wandering.
"Mom, I said, no, no, no, no NO! I do not have to go. No, no, no, no, no! I do not have to go - to my ROOOOOOOM!"
Her best line so far, though, is TTTO "We Can Do It," the mouse song from Cinderella where they are making Cinderella's pink dress:
"I don't do it, I don't do it. You can get my brother. I don't do it mother. I DOOOOOOOON't want tooo!"
If I sing along, Sparkle tries to teach me lyrics like "You can give me grapes," and "Click on me to let me play up all night." sing-songy, but not from any song.
