Communication Meltdowns

judifilksign Sparkle has been melting down frequently. Since I cannot talk, I have not been answering her attempts at conversation with anything other than nods and gestures, and these don't match up with the scripts she wants.
She keeps reverting more and more towards baby talk and tantrums as a result, and I am ill-equipped to deal, being sick as I am.
It's times like these when I realize how much of Sparkle's communication is dependent on the full-participatory reactions of her listeners, and how fragile "normal" is.
