If I lived 240 miles closer, I'd loan you my Peter Wimsey novels. I have 'em all.

It's a shame the library doesn't have them. They're classics, and should not be forgotten.

I remember American Legion members selling poppies here, but not in recent years. I have a paper poppy, but get puzzled looks when I wear it. The tradition is still observed in Canada. I was in Toronto around Remembrance Day a couple of years ago, and the war memorial near City Hall was wreathed in poppies.
