Upsetting day at work. Came home as soon as I could after school, all bent out of shape. I played games on Meez (the source of my icon), and when my darling husband wanted his computer, I played piano.

I had no expectation of being good at it, as I never was growing up, but the Sonatina piano book sat so forlornly on the piano, I decided to try some Clementi. To my amazement, I plunked out a recognizable tune. Even with my darling daughter climbing in my lap during practice. Always at her most loving and cuddly when I am at my most occupied - I swear the cats have taught her everything they know.

My darling middle son told me I was an amazing musician, which made me laugh, and my evening turned around. My older son played his baritone, and he, too, played a recognizable tune ("Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.")

My darling husband made grilled cheese sandwiches and cream of tomato soup, with cold white milk - comfort food for an awful day, and cheery against the chill and rain outside. And dessert was an oddly yummy chocolate cinnamon bun thing. NEW in stores NOW!

My back aches from my arthritis and the rain, but my mood has much improved. I'm so lucky to have the family that I do.
