Gee, Communication Refined
Mar. 2nd, 2009 06:40 pm My darling daughter Sparkle, is, at age 5, is in preschool, and is a pre-reader. She actually has a detestation towards sitting long enough to get through any book whatsoever (much to my despair!), so I was surprised and delighted when she started using her budding reading skills to ask for exactly what she wanted.
She brought me the boxed set of Scooby Doo, season 3. "Mama, please for me, I want Scooby Doo, disc two, 'G.'"
"G?" I ask, somewhat confused. I put the disc in, and pull up the menu.
Sparkle points at the list of episode titles. "G," she says.
Understanding dawns. The episode name starts with "G." There are two episodes that start with "G," one of which has the term "Monsters" in it. So I ask: "Do you want the "G" episode with "Monsters" in it, honey?"
Sparkle looks at me, eyebrows pulled down. "They ALL gots monsters in it, mommy."
