Went out to lunch with friends with Sparkle.  She was in good space, friendly and interactive, and active.  Before we went out, Sparkle was up and down, up and down, up and down the stairs.  More than twenty times.  We only have stairs to the basement, usually closed off, so steps open to a great room are a great novelty for Sparkle.  Hey, it kept her active, yet occupied.  Win!

Sparkle pleased me by independently using a social script with someone she'd never met before.

"Hi!  What's your name?"  Sparkle said as our hostess entered from the garage.
"Emily, what's yours?"
"I'm Sparkle."  This is a first, unprompted by me.  YaY!

At the restaurant, Sparkle occupied herself with fishing ice out of her water before food came while the adults talked, ate every bit of her larger than usual meal, and only got antsy at the end.  I was able to have a lovely time talking with all of my friends with only two chase games: one before seating, and one close to finishing up.

Back at the house, she asked for grapes, and when I redirected her to ask our hostess, she did so, using her manners.  And ate them going up and down, up and down, up and down the stairs, like twenty times.  I would catch the eye of other adults, and we'd smile as Sparkle would say (again) from the top landing rail, "Hello, down there!"
