Small Quiet Voice
Feb. 7th, 2011 11:51 am I have a very small voice, and I feel a bit better. Got blood draws today. Got Zombiesque today, too, and I am enjoying it. Seanan McGuire's story is very Mary Janice Davidson, and very enjoyable. Actually, her cheerleader, even undead, seems smarter than most of Davidson's characters put together, though.
Interacting with everyone today, nurses, salesclerks, grocery store, and so on, I had to speak in in my small, quiet voice. And do you know what? People instinctively match your register. Everyone spoke back to me in small, quiet voices, like we were sharing some big, super secret in getting back change, or that "Have a Nice Day!" was something to be shared only with me, and not the rest of the world.
