An Unlikely Tail

Last night, my darling husband informed me that he'd had an interesting conversation with me. After going to bed, I had fallen sort of asleep. I was still talkative, though. My husband was chatting with me about the events of the day, when I told him that we needed to be sure to brush Sparkle's tail, because it had gotten matted up in the pool.
My husband, confused, asked if I meant Sparkle's ponytails. Evidentially, I told him, no, I meant Sparkle's TAIL, as if he were crazy.
I find myself wondering what sort of tail Sparkle had in my thoughts. Poofy kitty? Monkey?
