Positing Reposting

 I post long rambling things here.  I have a FB account that I post short status statements upon, or a summary statement of an LJ post, because many of my local pals are FB fiends.

I keep things separate, because I try not to duplicate posts too much due to a lot of overlap in on-line friends.

I won't repost without permission, although I will sometimes post a meme or an article I've gotten via someone else's account (like the broccoli post prior to this) if that post was open anyway.

I'm fairly certain that all of my friends here will continue their already courteous behaviors towards my postings, and won't publicize locked posts elsewhere.

You can actually eliminate the option for people to repost their comments by going to your Journal Style, then going to Customize yout Theme, then going to Custom CSS. Copy and paste the following in the spreadsheet, and save. That will eliminate the ticky boxes and what can't be seen can't be checked. You still have to be careful not to share your entries inadvertently, but that's a bit easier to make sure of.

My policy is to notify you, usually by asking first, that I think your post is so good to pass along. So no worries from my end of things. :)
