Tech idiot

 It appears I don't know how to do a cut right.  Edits didn't change my views of it.  Sorry if previous post is TMI.  Can anyone give me a hint on what I did wrong?

FWIW the cut worked. Sometimes WE don't see it ourselves on our preview. I have thought this too then looked on my friends pages for my entry on their friends page and the link it there.

My darling husband fixed it for me, having heard my grumbles of frustration. As [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] below points out, my husband confirms my problem was that Rich Text won't let HTML codes work.

Were you typing your post in Rich Text or HTML view? Typing in the HTML codes doesn't work if you're in Rich Text view.

Mmm. Maybe. My husband came and fixed it for me. Next time I try on my own, I'll double check that. Bold face, or cuts, huh?
