The Kitchen Sink

The kitchen sink wouldn't turn off tonight, and poured a steady stream of water out all through dinner. After we finished up, I got out the Time fix-it manual that my in-laws got us for our wedding, and my darling husband took apart the faucet and we stared at it a bit.
Didn't look like any of the pictures. But we have well water, and all the parts were crusty with build-up, so I poured vinegar and flaked away crud on all the parts I could reach. Lots of crud. My darling husband put all the clean parts back.
And the kitchen sink turns off and on again! Yay!
We feel so relieved. We're pretty sure we'll need a new faucet soon, but we're hoping to put it off a bit longer.
